I see water lilies in a stream, with the colors of the trees and flowers making the water different shades and colors. I also see that the water is calm, it's not swaying about or splashing anywhere. I see water colors in green, blue, pink, and some yellow. I think that this painting's element of design is texture because i have seen this painting in New York City, and i don't remember if i touched it or not, but i do remember what the texture had looked like. The painting isn't 3-D but you can see how thick and how much paint was put on the canvas. And i think that the principle or art for this painting is Unity because it makes everything feel more calm and peaceful, usually making people feel complete.
