This picture is not my favorite; it's the fifth picture I chose. I chose it because there were no others that I liked. It is okay, though.

I think american gothic is very lifelike and also like a cartoon at the same time. The faces kinda life like and the background is the the same as the faces but i think it is a very well drawn and cool looking picture that is really neat. I also think the background has a dull tint to it or like a gray fuzz ican not discribe it. My element of design is color teh colors are bright and dull and multicolored it is a good selection of colors. And my priceble is proportion and i also think the proportion is well used in this picture with the pith fork house barn and the trees in the background.

I see a couple of elders back in the old days. The man has a pitchfork in his hand and the woman looks a little worried. She keeps looking over at the man. My element of design is color because the artist uses many realistic colors in this painting. My principal is proportion because everything looks in proportion with the other things in the painting.

In this picture I see two people that are very detailed and they look very life-like. The background looks very old fashoned and again their are a lot of details. One element of art in this picture is form in 3-D. One principle of design is contrast.
