This picture has a pattern to it. The chairs are in a zig zag pattern. The colors are darker and they are mostly the same. The whole paiting is very repetive. The little girl has alot of detail put into her. It looks like she took alot of thime and thought.
I see a little girl sitting in a blue chair. She is looking at her little dog sleeping next to her. The little girl girl looks bored. In the background, there are more chair/couches. This picture has many cool colors, mostly in the chairs. This painting makes you feel relaxed, if not a bit tired. This painting shows unity. cooliodonkey
I chose Little Girl in a Blue Armchair because; I really liked the way the artist (Mary Cassatt) captured the young girl’s expression; she seems restless and bored, and looks like she’s waiting for something. Mary Cassatt was on May 22, 1844. Her art movement is Impressionism, and she is known for many paintings, especially The Bath, painted in 1893. I think this painting should be chosen for the mural, because I think it captures the innocence of children, and shows an expression that a lot of kids have; which is boredom. I also think it would fit in nicely in our school, especially in the library, because it is very relaxing. It makes you feel calm and content.
